The challenge: To capture Montréal’s kinetic energy in the design, environments, experiences, and social and digital campaigns leading up to and throughout this immersive 3-day conference.
The solve: Mash it together and light it up. To mirror Montréal's varied culture, we tiled imagery and text over uneven surfaces and as wall-to-wall murals for an eclectic visual landscape. Typography toggled back and forth between English and French. A modernized family of emblems depicted different facets of the city's identity, while the core emblem came to life as an actual lighted sign that traveled from venue to venue. "Neon" illustrations spoke to "illumination" and the buzzing energy of the city. Design included: creative concept, logo and emblems, all of the environmental graphics, digital marketing, screen displays, and printed collateral. Direction included: website, digital marketing, app, social media, printed collateral, badge and lanyard, menus, giveaway packaging, animation, and on-site installation. Note: Liz Borchert and Mandy Chen provided additional design support on giveaways and animations. Created at Thinkso.
